WHAT IS “BARK BOOST?” 

Bark Boost is our own canine superfood recipe developed to give dogs the nutrient-dense holistic boost that they need. While carnivorous canines thrive on meat-based diet using fat-for-fuel, a boost of bio-available vegetables on top of kibble or raw food can help give additional support to the body. 

Here’s the process: We macerate and cold-press the organic vegetables and other ingredients to make the nutrients as bio-available as possible. In this form, dogs are able to use all of the good stuff inside the veggies since the nutrients are broken down just enough, and then “locked in”.  

Since dogs lack salivary amylase (an enzyme that helps break down veggies) and have limited amounts of amylase in their pancreas, in order to actually benefit from the nutrients found in veggies, the ingredients have to be cold-pressed (not highly processed or eaten completely raw).
